veins are an unpleasant sight, especially when they bulge up from under the
surface of the skin and become disfigured.
There are many causes attributed to the development of varicose veins,
but many experts believe that heredity plays a key role in passing this
condition from patient to patient.
Causes of
varicose veins can be from something as simple as standing for a long time
without much movement, or a long period of sitting. During pregnancy varicose veins appear on the
legs, and in some cases the stomach. A primary cause of varicose veins is a
system of faulty valves in a certain section of the vein, which no longer
pushes blood through the body to the heart as efficiently as it should.
